After a full day of studying,it was just what my restless soul needed.To slink away into the alternative nightlife of my hometown with some people who uplift my spirits.

Given the fact that this total Lunar Eclipse was the first one visable to the human eye since 2000,and the next one would only grace us with its awesomeness in 2018,there was not a chance was I missing this to stay buried in my lifeless books.

The event was a hippie fest on a desolate beach near Virginia airport.All the elements of my imagination ,realised in a single night.Bonfires,smokes,wine,capoeira,free spirits and one gigantic moon waiting to be covered in shadow.We got a little fuzzy,cuddled around the fire and got lost in the lulling beats of the drum circle.Perfect way to zone out and appreciate the endless ocean and night sky.We lay on pashmina’s spreadout on the cool sand, to stargaze and watch the cosmic universe get brighter and clearer as the full moon got darker and darker.

The shadow slowly closed in over the ball of glowing light,and the drummers sped up their beat.People cheered and clapped wildly as the last bit of moon was overshadowed and at that moment,as as everyone stared up,a plane flew over,right in view of the moon,twinkling like star in the darkness.

Paper lanterns were lit and sent up to celebrate the eclipse and we watched them float over the ocean and burst into a dying flame.

I live for moments like these.
